Huge crowds gathered at Salford’s City Airport, Barton, to see the iconic delta-winged Vulcan Bomber fly overhead.
The long-range former RAF nuclear bomber, XH558, came into active service in 1960, and was retired in 1993.
This year marks its final flights.
Flying hundreds of miles around the country, the two pilots of the long-range Cold War bomber steered the Vulcan to 17 airports and aerodromes around the UK in a tribute to the country’s V-Force nuclear deterrent.
The northern leg of its journey on Saturday 10 October saw the warplane fly over Salford’s City Airport at Barton at 3pm.
