Game day: High-flying Salford set to diminish Giants

Salford are again without talismanic Theo Fages – he of the contract negotiations farrago – as they take on Huddersfield Giants in this Good Friday battle at the John Smiths stadium.
A 36-8 demolition of Widnes last week has given cash-strapped Salford signs of a season recovery after a shonky start to the campaign.

And Junior Sa’u returns for the Reds while flyer Jodie Broughton is pulled into the Giants wing to face his former club.

It’s the only match of the day that goes untelevised, with Sky preferring the familiar favourites of Wigan, St Helens and Leeds.

But Salford have sold out of their away ticket allocation – and the travelling fans are well up for it.

Kick-off is 6pm.

Salford Red Devils: Caton-Brown, Chase, Dobson, Evalds, Forster, D.Griffin, J. Griffin, Hansen, Hauraki, Hood, Johnson, Jones-Bishop, Lee, Locke, Morley, Paterson, Sa’u, Tasi, Taylor.

Huddersfield Giants: Bailey, Brough, Broughton, Crabtree, Connor, Ellis, Ferres, Grix, Huby, Hughes, Johnson, Kopczak, Lawrence, McGillvary, Murphy, Robinson, Ta’ai, Wardle, Wood.
