Watch: Spooky shocks on show inside Swinton Halloween House

Hundreds of people visited Swinton’s very own Halloween House at the weekend to be scared out of their wits.

The whole house has been kitted out with terrifying Halloween characters and haunting scenes to raise money for charity.

Grandparents Samantha and Martin Lee are behind the charitable concept.

Speaking to SalfordOnline.com, Samantha said: “We’re doing it to raise money for St Anne’s Hospice in Little Houlton and St David’s hospice in Llandudno, because we lost two friends this year, one in each hospice so that’s why we decided to raise money for them this year.

“It’s nice with all the bad press about Salford and Swinton at the moment to be able to put smiles on people’s faces.”

Visitors to the house received plenty of ghoulish surprises and a total of £725 was raised across the entire weekend after the doors opened to the public on Saturday.

A fundraising target of £2000 has set by the couple this year.

Last year over £3500 was raised for Cancer Research, and despite the theft of a charity bucket just days before the grand opening, dozens of people are still queuing up to take a look inside.
