17-year-old boy stable after Irlam stabbing


A teenager is being treated in hospital after being stabbed in Irlam.

The 17-year-old, who is understood to be from Salford, was found by police on Liverpool Road with a stab wound to the abdomen.

Police cordoned off an area of the street, near the Royal Arms, at around 10.25pm on Saturday 31 October.

The boy was treated at the scene by paramedics before being taken to hospital.

He remains in a stable condition.

His injuries are not considered to be life-threatening.

No arrests have been made and police enquiries are ongoing to establish what happened.
