Appeal: Women arrested for attempted murder in M60 smash


Police are appealing for witnesses after a serious collision on the M60 resulted in three people being taken to hospital

At 7.10pm on Thursday 9 April 2015, a red Renault Megane was travelling clockwise at junction 20 of the M60 when it swerved and collided with the central reservation.

The three people in the car, a 43-year-old man, a 40-year-old woman and an 19-year-old-man were taken to hospital to be treated.

There injuries are not believed to be life threatening.

The 40-year-old woman, believed to be the driver, has since been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder.

All three remain at Salford Royal Hospital.

The carriageway was closed in both directions but was later opened the same night.

Police are now appealing to anyone who has information about the collision to call the Serious Collision Investigation Unit on 0161 856 3243.
