The plans, designed by Axis Mason, include 15,800 sq ft of commercial space on the ground floor of the towers.

Some 10 years ago Isle of Man-headquartered Dandara submitted plans to build a 37-storey tower on the site, but found but profit margins would have been squeezed by a downturn in the market.

Dandara are also responsible for the Spectrum flats on Blackfriars Street and The Lock in Manchester.

A spokesman for Dandara said: “We have worked with Safer Sphere for two years and they give invaluable and trusted health and safety advice to both our construction and lettings teams. They are both pragmatic and proactive.

Dandara said it would adopt Safer Sphere’s online portal across its portfolio, whilch includes four other major schemes in Glasgow, Leeds and Birmingham.

Mike Forsyth, Managing Director at Safer Sphere said: “It’s fantastic to have the early endorsement of our Online Portal by a company of the stature of Dandara as well as build on the relationship that we’ve established with them over the last two years.

“Chapel Wharf is such a major scheme in the North West, it speaks volumes about Dandara’s confidence in our experience which we’re pouring into our online solution.

“We hope that many others will follow in the footsteps of Dandara in endorsing the product created for those in the principal designer role.”
