Robbers steal entire ATM from Trafford hospital

Police are appealing for information after a cash machine was stolen from a hospital in Trafford.

At around 10.30pm on Wednesday 25 November 2015, two cars parked up outside Trafford General Hospital on Moorside in Flixton and five people got out.

They attached ropes to a white transit van and attached it to the cash machine before using an axe and force to pull the ATM out.

The machine was put into the back of the transit and the offenders drove off in the van and a black VW Beetle.

Detective Sergeant Andy Darnton said: “I would appeal to anyone who may have been near to the clock tower entrance of the hospital and saw these two vehicles approach the cash machine to contact us.

“After the ATM was stolen, both drove off but we are unsure in which direction they went. If you witnesses anything that night, please call us.”

Anyone with information should phone police on 0161 856 7525 or the independent charity Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555 111.
