38-mile cycle in memory of Sheila

20 cyclists pedalled From St Annes to St Ann’s in memory of a friend and colleague.

The group from Urban Vision rode from the West coast seaside resort to the Little Hulton hospice to raise money for the popular care centre on Meadowsweet Lane.

Their 38-mile journey from Lytham St Annes to St Ann’s Hospice was a thank you to the nurses who cared for Sheila Dewsnap, a Salford City Council and Urban Vision employee for more than 25 years.

It was the second ride for Sheila by the team, which includes her friends and relatives, and they now plan to make the journey an annual event in her memory.

Sheila sadly passed away three years ago.

Sarah Royle, from Urban Vision, said: “The team was a mix of our staff and friends and relatives of Sheila and it was so successful again that there are plans to repeat the ride next year.”
