Tonight from 6.30pm: Last chance to see as Santa Sledge tours Winton

A certain white bearded, red-suited man will Ho-Ho-Ho his way round the Westwood Estate in Winton tonight.

Wednesday 23 December is the last hurrah before Christmas for Worsley Rotary Club’s popular Santa Sledge.

The sledge comes complete with realistic-looking reindeer and is crammed with lights and jingles to make it extra special for passersby.

It starts at 6.30pm and finishes at 9pm.

The fun starts on Chestnut Road, going on to Cypress Road and Walker Road, onto Westbrook Crescent, Cranbrook Road, Kingswood Road, Grasmere Crescent, May Street and Anson Street, back past Grasmere Crescent onto Cambrai, up onto Worsley Road and finishing at Winton Cricket Club.

See the full map of the route here.

The Santa Sledge is a 35-year-old tradition bringing festive fun to people young and old as well as raising money for deserving causes.

Last year over £7,000 was raised from donations along the routes, all of which goes towards helping local businesses and community groups in the local area.
