Bus review (no, not guided busway, sorry) launched by Salford council

Struggling to get to and from work on the bus? Missing hospital appointments? Got an idea how bus services could be improved?

Salford City Council wants you to get involved and share your ideas on which areas should be opened up with better or more frequent bus services.

The council has commissioned Agito Transport Planning Consultancy to carry out consultations as part of a bus network review.

A series of consultation drop-in sessions are being held in Claremont and Weaste and Eccles, Irlam and Cadishead to enable bus users to tell transport experts about bus services improvements that are needed.

A spokesperson for the council said: “The information collected will be used to create a picture of bus routes to work, shopping and leisure outlets across the city and map any gaps.

“The information will be used in discussions between Salford City Council, local bus operators and Transport for Greater Manchester about bus service improvements to support the city’s regeneration and economic development.
