Barbara Keeley MP congratulates Mesne Lea Primary School on top ranking

Barbara Keeley, MP for Worsley and Eccles South, has congratulated staff and year 6 pupils at Mesne Lea Primary School in Walkden for being ranked among the best schools in the country.

Every single year 6 pupil at the school achieved level 4B or above in reading and maths and level 4 or above in writing.

Mesne Lea Primary School is now in the top 200 schools out of nearly 16,000 across the country.

Barbara said:

“I was delighted to hear that Mesne Lea Primary has achieved these excellent results and has been ranked so highly in the country. I have written to the Headteacher to offer her, the staff and pupils at Mesne Lea Primary my congratulations.”

“This is a great success and is testament to the hard work of the teachers and pupils. Everyone involved should be very proud of their achievement.”
