Travel advice for Chinese New Year parade, Sunday 7 February


The annual Chinese New Year celebrations take place in Manchester city centre this Sunday (7 February) – be sure to plan ahead for how you’ll travel to see the spectacular event.

The Dragon Parade and Fireworks event takes place in Albert Square and Chinatown from 12-6pm – just a short walk from the Deansgate-Castlefield Metrolink stop or the Piccadilly Gardens stop.

The event will bring some changes to local roads and to bus services, with the 12, 18, 26, 34, 36, 37, 38, 42, 50, 197, X41 and X43 services running to diversions.
