Man charged after death of Joetta Shumba in M62 collision


A man has been charged with causing death by dangerous driving.

Martin Junior William Grant, 29, of Jacey Road, Birmingham has been charged with causing death by dangerous driving.

He has been remanded to appear before Manchester and Salford Magistrates on Tuesday 9 February 2016.

At around 5.20am on Sunday 24 January 2016, a grey Audi S3 and a lorry travelling westbound on the M62 between the Eccles interchange and junction 11 were in collision.

The collision caused the lorry to overturn and significant road closures were put in place.

 25 year old woman Joetta Shumba who was travelling in the Audi sadly died in the collision.
