KidzRUs expand into two new nurseries at Salford Quays and Irlam

Up to 100 new nursery places will be created when Swinton-based KidzRUs opens two new branches.

The firm, which has two bases on Manchester Road and Hospital Road in Swinton, is taking over the former Sonshine Nursery on South Langworthy Road.

Called KidzRUs MediaCity, it will offer 56 places for children age 0-4 and will open 7am to 7pm, and, depending on demand, extended opening at weekends.

SalfordOnline.com reported how parents were informed by letter that the 47-place Sonshine would close permanently in January 2015.

KidzRus also has plans to revamp a vacant former nursery on Liverpool Road in Irlam to provide around 40 places.

Recruitment for a number of new jobs will be posted through SalfordOnline.com.

Owner Nicola Fleury said: “We’ve been looking to develop further and we want that to be in Salford.

“We’ve got a vision for how we’ll develop our existing branches in Swinton and we now want to be able to provide high-quality childcare to parents in Langworthy, Weaste, MediaCityUK and Irlam.”
