Thieves target multiple properties in an hour around the Height

Youths dressed in black and wearing baseball caps targeted multiple properties around the Height tonight.

Reports first came in to SalfordOnline.com around 10pm on Tuesday 16 February of two to three males targeting a property on Sumner Road.

On this occasion they were interrupted and chased from the property.

Shortly after, around 10.20pm they targeted another nearby home and managed to steal car and house keys.

Not long after this incident another report came in to SalfordOnline.com of another attempt to steal keys, on or near Hayfield Road.

At least one other similar report was also logged with SalfordOnline’s 16,000-member Facebook group at around 9pm.

We have just had a report the same youths are now targeting the Langworthy Road area of Salford.

Please can all homeowners around the Irlams o’ Th’ Height and surrounding areas be extra vigilant.

Lock your doors and windows and do not leave keys and valuables on show.

It would appear these youths are targeting homes specifically with the aim of stealing vehicles from the drive.

This isn’t the first incident of this type happening in this area.

Just last week a silver Audi Q3 was stolen in a similar style ‘car key burglary’.
