Dog resuced following house fire in Irlam


Firefighters were called to Liverpool Road at approx. 3.50pm on Monday 29 February to a house fire.

Three appliances from Eccles, Irlam and Stretford attended.

The fire began in the kitchen of a domestic property and firefighters used two breathing kits and a hose reel to extinguish the flames.

The homeowner was asleep but was woken up by smoke alarms inside the property.

A dog was resued from the first floor of the property and the homeowner was administered oxygen by crews.
