Plans for 55-bed care home on former Creamline Dairy site

Independent living provider Adlington has announced it is building 55 retirement apartments for over 60s in Urmston.

Adlington’s project on Moorside Road will replace the former Creamline Dairy site.

The business has its main bottling plant on Weymouth Road in Winton, Eccles and is headquartered in Stockport.

The development of one, two and three-bed apartments includes a restaurant, hairdressing salon and spa suite.

It is set to be complete in autumn 2017.

Adlington say the move will create 25 jobs in Salford and Greater Manchester.

Claire Reede, Marketing Manager at Adlington House, said: “The brand new development in Urmston will be right in the heart of the local community and means that our homeowners will be able to lead independent lives, with a little extra care and support should they need it.

“Our apartments are popular with those who are looking to downsize from a larger home.

“We are able to help them every step of the way, from assistance with selling their original property, de-cluttering and removals and a complimentary 8 – hour handyman service to help get their new apartment looking exactly how they would like.”
