Take in some world-beating art

If you’ve never ‘done’ the LS Lowry galleries at its namesake theatre, now’s your chance. The paintings of the master artist really are a life-changing experience when you see them up close for the first time.

Don’t go just for the ‘chart hits’ as it were, there’s so much more there than industrial landscapes – try his tranquil and turbulent seascapes, his dark and mysterious late period, and all the city buildings and scenes he captured which have been destroyed forever.
