Woman trapped in car in serious Little Hulton smash


A driver was trapped in her car after crashing into a set of railings near St Ann’s Hospice in Little Hulton, Salford.

Police, ambulances and fire crews were called to the junction of Parkway and Peel Lane this afternoon, Wednesday 27 May, at 1.15pm.

They found the woman’s red Ford Focus has smashed into metal railings, trapping the woman inside the vehicle.

Greater Manchester Police said no other drivers were involved in the crash.

Update: As of 2.15pm the female driver was taken to hospital by road ambulance and the North West Air Ambulance stood down.

Her injuries are not thought to be life-threatening.
