Morson marketing manager wins ‘Marketer of the Year’

Morson Group’s Marketing Manager Orlagh Bibby has been handed the Marketer of the Year accolade at the 2016 Chartered Institute of Marketing Excellence Awards.

The Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM) Excellence Awards are an annual event created to highlight, celebrate and promote excellence within the field of marketing.

Orlagh is an associate member of the Chartered Institute of Marketing with almost 10 years of marketing experience. Orlagh’s career at Morson started in 2012 when she was brought into the business to establish the company’s marketing division.

Prior to Orlagh’s arrival, Morson operated without an official marketing department.

The award ceremony took place at Grosvenor House Hotel in London on April 14th and Orlagh’s award recognised her work on the Transformational Change project, a campaign which involved a strategy to transform the marketing operations of Morson.

The project proved to be a great success with highlights including the attraction of 14,963 new customers, 629% increase in website traffic, generation of £400k revenue and a 76% increase in social media following.

During 2015, Orlagh also completed her CIM professional diploma, a UK and internationally recognised qualification which develops individual’s knowledge of marketing.

Orlagh said: “I’m absolutely delighted to win CIM Marketer of the Year; it really is a dream come true!

“The support I’ve had from the business has been great. I’m incredibly proud to be part of Morson’s marketing journey.

“It’s very rewarding to look back on what we’ve achieved and it’s also extremely exciting because there is still so much to come.

“Obviously this award is a great personal achievement but it’s also fantastic recognition for my amazing team who work tirelessly to support the business. This win is as much for them as it is for me.”

Chris Daly, Chief Executive of CIM said: “I’m thrilled to announce the winners of our Marketing Excellence Awards. We saw some high quality entries at our Awards evening this year and Orlagh’s success is a great example of our profession’s hard work over the past 12 months.

“This year’s winners are varied and innovative and showcase a range of exceptional campaigns and Orlagh should feel proud to be standing amongst such talented marketers. The purpose of these awards is to remind us why what we do, and to demonstrate the impact that well-created and well-delivered marketing can have across businesses.”
