British Red Cross appeals for local help in Salford

The British Red Cross need volunteers to help raise funds for the British Red Cross Week at fundraising collections in the Salford area.

They have been allocated a collection at Tesco Extra Salford on 29th April and are looking for local people to give just two hours of their time to join fundraisers to raise vital funds for the Red Cross.

Just two hours of your time can help save the life of someone vulnerable in crisis right here in Manchester or across the world. The Red Cross is a volunteer-led humanitarian organisation that helps people in crisis, whoever and wherever they are.

The Red Cross responds to emergencies all over the world and offers aid and support to communities affected by natural disasters. Here in the UK the Red Cross provide a variety of health and social care services including care in the home and medical equipment loans. They respond to emergencies, providing practical and emotional support and also provide first aid training and refugee services.

If supporters can help at this collection, fundraising materials will be provided and they would be very grateful for any support.

If you can help please call Kerry Threadgill on 07718 244 547 or email kthreadgill@redcross.org.uk.
