Walkabout sign up Salford Red Devils Foundation as charity partners

The Salford Red Devils Foundation have been signed up as the official charity partner of bar and restaurant chain Walkabout.

It’s hoped the new partnership will help raise thousands of pounds of community programmes.

To celebrate the launch staff from the Red Devils and club Ambassador Adrian Morley took on a Walkabout side in their infamous Man vs Food Challenge.

The Red Devils came out on top after eating a mammoth amount of food in the 30 minute time slot.

Walkabout general manager Martin Angus said the link-up would shine a light on a great cause.

“As everyone knows we are a great place to relax, enjoy good food and watch sport, but what most don’t know is that we are committed to raising money for good causes close to our heart.

“Working with the Red Devils Foundation over the next 12 months will see us help to make a real impact on the local community through their various fantastic health and education programmes.

“It’s a great fit for us and we are looking forward to working together to raise a lot of money for the charity.”

Foundation Director Mark Brocklehurst said: “It’s great that we’ve been announced as Walkabout’s official charity partners, with their support we’ll be able to build on the community work we already do and fantastic to have such a big name like Walkabout on board”.
