Over 300 people celebrate World Tai Chi in Salford


Media CityUK was the venue for a World Tai Chi event on Saturday 30th April. Over 300 people came together for a mass tai chi performance, workshops and demonstrations.

World Tai Chi Day is celebrated all over the world, in each country at 10am local time tai chi is performed in city parks, tiny village halls, sports centres or beaches – sending a wave of tai chi energy around the world.

2016 is the 18th international World Tai Chi Day and the fourth to be held in Salford. The event is supported by Peel Holdings Media CityUK and raised over £1300 for this year’s nominated charity, Sense (Scotland)

One of the participants at yesterday’s demonstation, Anne Crichton urged people to: “Try something new. Tai Chi is for everybody. Great for stress busting, improving balance and breathing.
