Man injured in Little Hulton shopping centre assault


A man was injured after a disturbance in Little Hulton last night.

Police and ambulances were called to the Little Hulton District Centre on Manchester Road East at 6pm on Thursday 12 May.

It’s thought the victim was assaulted after clashing with at least four other men, near the Little Hulton One Stop Shop.

Detectives are not looking for anyone else in connection with the incident.

Greater Manchester Police could not confirm the man’s age or the nature of his injuries, but said he was not thought to be in a life-threatening condition.

The North West Ambulance Service added it had been called to the scene but paramedics were stood down and an ambulance was not required.

A spokesperson for the force said: “We were called to Little Hulton District Centre at 6.03pm last night.

“We are not clear on exactly what has happened.

“Four males are thought to have been involved but the circumstances of the incident are still unclear.

“According to the latest available information we believe the man is still being treated in hospital.

“Enquiries are ongoing.”
