Boy hurt in rush-hour bike crash on Bolton Road


Paramedics treated a teenage biker for injuries to his back this morning after a rush-hour crash on Bolton Road in Swinton.

Police and ambulances were called to the A666 near Pendlebury Health Centre at 8.40am on Monday 6 June.

They found a car has collided with a motorbike.

The rider was a boy reported to be in his late teens.

Eyewitnesses told of their shock of seeing the boy lying in the road in the aftermath of the crash.

He was alert and conscious after the accident but told paramedics he had pain throughout his body.

Ambulance crews spent over an hour on scene before taking the boy to Salford Royal hospital for further assessment.

The scene was cleared by 10am on Monday morning.
