SalfordOnline.com ready to roar with Salford Red Devils Foundation link-up

SalfordOnline.com has partnered up with Salford Red Devils Foundation to help shed more light on the fabulous work being done by the community arm of the Super League club.

The Foundation carries out tens of thousands of hours of sports programming every year with local schools and colleges.

This gives hundreds of children the opportunity to get access to the best coaches in the country at at time in their teens when it’s going to make the most difference.

The famous Sky Try sessions mean there’s a clear route from Under 12s rugby right through to the Devils first team, bringing the best rugby league players to national prominence.

The Foundation also supports local businesses with networking meetings and continuing professional development with talks from the most capped Welsh rugby league player of all time, head coach Ian Watson, and Australian Director of Rugby Tim Sheens.

News Editor Tom Rodgers met club ambassador Adrian Morley at the AJ Bell to launch the partnership.

Tom said: “Salford Red Devils Foundation represents the best of what’s going on in the city, focusing on youth development and using rugby as a tool for so much more.

“Over the next six months SalfordOnline.com aim to push the Foundation to new audiences and to highlight the good progress they’re already making in the city and beyond.

Foundation Director Mark Brocklehurst has been putting the charity’s development at centre stage since 2008.

Now the Foundation engages over 40,000 people every year.

He said: “SalfordOnline.com is hugely popular locally, and it is their reach into the community that we’re looking forward to exploiting.

“There are so many ways to use professional sport as a vehicle to promote your business, drive participation and personal growth, reward
members of staff or customers and also, crucially, to benefit the local community.

“Through the partnership with SalfordOnline.com we want to put the Foundation where it belongs – right at the heart of the community.”

Watch out on SalfordOnline.com this week for our exclusive tour of the Salford Red Devils museum – and the secrets of what’s being held elsewhere.
