Fire crews called to Salford house after kitchen blaze


Fire crews were called to a house in Salford on Tuesday evening after reports of a kitchen fire had broke out.

At around 6.46pm three fire crews from Agecroft, Broughton and Whitefield arrived at Littleton Road to tackle the blaze.

Firefighters have not reported a cause as of yet.

One casualty was helped to safety by firefighters whilst one other was taken to Salford Royal Hospital by paramedics for a precautionary check up.

It is thought that both patients are doing well and neither were seriously hurt.

Four firefighter in breathing apparatus used one hose reel to extinguish the fire.

The emergency services stayed at the property for an hour and a half until the house was safe to enter.
