Salford City Academy’s Sports and Creative Arts Awards got the gold star treatment, with a special appearance by Olympian Jason Gardener.
Jason, who won a gold medal in the 4×4 100 metres relay at the 2004 Olympic Games in Athens, helped hand out the prizes at the awards, as well as giving a motivational and inspirational talk to students, staff, parents and other guests.
Held at the Peel Green school on Wednesday 20th July, the awards helped recognise and reward student success across the creative arts and sporting spectrum.
