Meet the Mayor of Salford on his road travel

Salford’s City Mayor is to hit the road in a series of sessions to meet local people.

Paul Dennett, who was elected to office in May, is launching ‘Meet the Mayor’ sessions so he can find out more about local people’s ideas, views and concerns about Salford and local communities.

The first session will take place at Swinton Gateway on Tuesday 6 September from 4pm to 6pm.

Residents must book a slot by visiting www.salford.gov.uk/citymayor.

Paul said: “One of the reasons I chose to be a community politician is because I want to make a positive difference to peoples’ lives.

“These new sessions will be taken around the city, to the heart of communities, to make it easy for people to meet me.

“I don’t want to be hidden away in an office – I want to be accessible, open and transparent so people can speak directly to me.”

Further sessions across the city will be publicised soon.
