The weekend is upon us once more and the big event in Salford this week is the Salford’s Big Day Out outside the Swinton Civic Centre, however there are other options for you, so lets hope the weather stays dry for these events.

Family Fun Day – Saturday 17 September – 12pm – 5pm
Pendlebury Social Club will be holding a Family Fun day in aid of Christie’s & Cancer Research UK, attractions include, stalls, tombola, face painting, bouncy castle, glitter art and much more.
Salford Red Devils – Saturday 17 September – 3pm kick off
Salford Red Devils take on London Broncos in yet another must win game inbthis crucial game in their bid to retain super league status.
All Salford fans please come to this game and get behind the Reds and cheer them to victory!
Army v Navy game before the big one to enjoy also KO 12:45pm.
Chilli Festival – Saturday 17 September – 11am – 4pm
As part of Salford’s Big Day Out, Swinton Square will be hosting the ‘Hot Zone’ in the form of a Chilli festival, this includes stalls offering chilli products from around the globe including Chilli Ice Cream, Chocolate, Oils and of course various hot food and drink.
There will be a Salsa Band from Midday to keep the beat moving along with The Zippy Zappy Chilli Pot Workshop, face painters and a fairground for the kids.
