Police appeal for help to find man who may be seriously injured after stabbing incident


Police are appealing for the public’s help to locate a man who they believe may have been seriously injured.

At around 12.50am on Friday 14 October 2016, police were called to a report that a man had been stabbed on Cheetham Hill Road.

Officers attended the scene and arrested two men aged 23 and 30 on suspicion of Section 18 assault. They both remain in police custody for questioning.

Police have launched an investigation and enquiries are ongoing to trace the victim but he has not yet been found.

Police believe the man in the CCTV image may be the victim of a serious assault who could be seriously injured and are appealing for anyone with information about the man’s whereabouts to come forward.

Detective Inspector Paul Walker of GMP’s City of Manchester Team, said: “We are extremely concerned for this man’s welfare and need to make sure that he has received medical treatment.

“I’m urging anyone who knows who this man is or where he is to contact police, or if you are the man in the image, please contact police and seek medical attention immediately.”
