Four men charged with assault and firearms offences following Pendlebury shooting


Four men have been charged with assault and firearms offences following a shooting in Pendlebury.

The following three men have been charged with grievous bodily harm and appeared before Manchester Magistrates Court on Wednesday 12 October 2016 where they were remanded to appear before Manchester Crown Court on 9 November 2016:

William Eyres (8/11/1975) of Rake Lane, Swinton

Michael Littler (8/3/1977) of Grovesnor Street, Salford

Craig Walton (23/1/1978) of Kellbrook Crescent, Salford. Walton has also been charged with making threats with a firearm.

Colin Eyres (1/10/1977) of Shrewsbury Road, Droylsden was also charged with grievous bodily harm and making threats with a firearm. He appeared at Manchester Magistrates Court on Thursday 13 October 2016 where he was remanded to appear before Manchester Crown Court on the 9 November 2016

This is in relation to two incidents which occurred this past weekend.

On the afternoon of Saturday, 8 October 2016, officers were called to reports of a male being attacked with machetes on Carlisle St, Pendlebury.

Shortly before 10.10pm on Sunday, 9 October 2016, officers were called to reports of damage to a window on Little Moss Lane, Pendlebury.

On arrival officers discovered a window had been smashed and the damage was consistent with that caused by a shotgun.
