Pre-population of online SA returns from August 2015

Update – changes to Self-Employed National Insurance collection
The last Class 2 NICs Direct Debit payment for the 2014-15 tax year was collected on 10 July 2015. Most Class 2 customers will now have their contributions collected through Self Assessment, however, some small groups of customers will not be required to pay through Self Assessment and we are writing to these customers to explain. More about paying Class 2 National Insurance contributions.

Time to Pay arrangements – Direct Debit payment to be mandatory
From 3 August 2015 Direct Debit will be the mandatory method of payment for most new, regular time to pay arrangements. Payment by instalments can be considered where a customer is genuinely unable to pay by the due date and is able to commit to agreed payments to bring their tax up to date.
