Police release image of man wanted for burglaries in Manchester city centre

Police have released the image of a man after a number of burglaries in Manchester city centre.

Between 12 June 2015 and 17 July 2015, five businesses were burgled in the Chorlton Street, Piccadilly, Portland Street and Dale Street area.

On each occasion, a man walked into staff rooms and storage rooms and searched them.

Items such as pedal cycles, purses and handbags were taken.

Police Sergeant Sarah O’Driscoll said: “We have managed to obtain still images from the businesses targeted and are keen to speak to the man shown. I would ask anyone who may recognise this person to contact us. I would also make a direct appeal to the man himself to get in contact so we can eliminate him from our enquiries.”

Anyone with information should phone police on 0161 856 3221 or the independent charity Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555 111.
