Police hunt for man who indecently exposed himself twice in Salford park

Police are investigating after two indecent exposures in a Salford park.

Officers are investigating whether the same man was responsible for two indecent exposures that took place in Buile Hill Park, Salford, on Wednesday 29 July 2015.

The first took place at about 2pm when a 73-year-old woman saw a man exposing himself near the car park and was also seen performing a sexual act upon himself.

This man was described as being white, in his late 50s, bald and wearing jeans and a dark jacket.
The second took place at about 2.50pm on Wednesday 29 July near the garden centre, when a man was seen exposing himself.

Police are now appealing to anyone with information to come forward.

Police Sergeant Amanda Weems said: “This is a popular park used by families with young children, people of all ages and dog walkers so it is totally unacceptable for someone to expose themselves in this way and potentially subject innocent members of the public to such indecency.

“Given the same location of each offence, we are investigating whether the same man was responsible for both incidents.

“I would urge anyone who is using the park to be vigilant at this time and if you see a man matching this description, or anyone exposing himself, then do not hesitate to call the police immediately.

“I want to stress that the offender or offenders have not made any attempt to physically threaten or harm anyone but nevertheless this is a very serious crime and I would ask that anyone who has information call us.”
Anyone with information is asked to call police on 101 or the independent charity Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555 111.
