Drivers are set for delays throughout rush hour on the M60 today after roadworks overran.
There are currently delays of around 15-20 minutes anti-clockwise between Junctions 17 at Prestwich and Junction 12 for the Eccles interchange at M602/M62.
The delays are worse further north, with the M61 southbound between Junctions 5 and Junction 1 at the Swinton interchange suffering heavy traffic. A broken down vehicle between Junctions 3 and 1 is adding to the hold-ups this morning.
The Highways Agency say the traffic jams are expected to clear by 9.45am this morning, Monday 17 August.
