Biker suffers back and leg injuries in Pendlebury crash

A motorbike rider was hurt on Saturday 19 September after crashing with a car on Bolton Road.

Police closed the A666 near Pendlebury McDonalds at around 6.25pm after the rider of a red Honda bike collided with a silver Seat Leon.

The rider, a man in his 20s, suffered back and leg injuries in the collision.

Eyewitnesses reported their upset at seeing the young man being worked on as he lay in the middle of the road.

Paramedics carried out an initial assessment where the man was conscious and breathing.

He was taken to Salford Royal hospital for further treatment to his leg, but his injuries are not considered to be life-threatening.

The driver of the Seat was not arrested, said Greater Manchester Police.

The road was closed for around an hour between Bridge Street and Swinton Hall Road.
