Pier Jam stabbings: Brothers from Salford charged with attempted murder and GBH

Two brothers from the Brookhouse estate in Eccles, Salford are charged with attempted murder after a man was stabbed multiple times at a music festival in Blackpool.

Luke Sandlan, 26, and Elliott Sandlan, 20, both of Boddington Road, were arrested on Saturday 26 September after a fight broke out at the closing party of the Pier Jam electronic music festival.

A 23-year-old man from Manchester was left multiple stab wounds.

He was taken to Royal Preston hospital in a serious condition where he remains.

A 15-year-old boy from Manchester was also stabbed, along with a 30-year-old man from Bradford.

They have since been released from hospital.

Earlier this week, Lancashire police appealed for more eyewitness information from the 2,000 revellers who turned up at the North Pier to end the summer music festival season.

When Luke and Elliot Sandlan appear before Blackpool Magistrates Court on Thursday 1 October, both will also face two counts of causing greivous bodily harm (section 18 wounding with intent).
