Halloween and Bonfire Night in Salford


Some of the most fun to be had in autumn is around Halloween and bonfire night. Here’s what’s happening in Salford for all the family to enjoy!

Halloween Spooktacular

Enjoy spooky family fun with frightful face painting, gruesome glitter tattoos, spooky crafts, skull coconut shy, Halloween style bush tucker trial, creepy critters, bouncy castle and small fairground rides. Food and refreshments also available.

Witches Walk

£1 per person
Buile Hill Park, Eccles Old Road, Salford

Come as a witch or wizard and join us on a walk with special effects, spooky zones and scary actors including our death defying fire act and spectacular stilt walkers to greet you.

Halloween walk 1 – for younger children – 3.30pm to 4.30pm

Halloween walk 2 – from 4.45pm onwards, last entry 6.00pm.

Tangled

Duke’s Drive, off Parrin Lane, Monton

All spider lovers (and haters) this way! Have fun getting tangled in the wonderful webbed woodland and join in with other spidery delights. Tickle your fingers making a giant spider, weave your own web and explore Duke’s Drive on the Very Busy Spider trail.

All ages welcome. Children must be accompanied by adults. Meet on the meadow beyond the car park at Duke’s Drive (off Parrin Lane), Monton.

Halloween at Winton Park

Family friendly two hour Halloween event suited to younger children. The event takes place in the dark so come dressed to scare everyone!

Includes storytelling, curious live creatures, games and traditional Halloween activities.

Halloween Tiny Tots Walk

This daytime ramble around Clifton Country Park is suitable for families with young witches, wizards and ghosts. Facilities include toilets, information centre, picnic area, car parking and bike racks.

Swinton Spooktacular

Swinton Square

We have a spooky treat in store at Halloween as it gets scary down in the Square. Get dressed up and come down for a day of fun activities including a spooky workshop and loads of spooky face painting.

At 2.00pm we have the Childrens’ Halloween Parade around the centre with the wicked witch and the whole event is rounded off with a kids’ spooky disco.

Fangtastic Halloween

Outdoor Halloween event to get your teeth into! Ghostly games, wicked walk through the wood, crafts, frights and plenty of screaming. Dress to scare, wear sensible footwear.

Lighting The Lantern

St Mary’s Park, St Mary’s Road, Walkden

Come and watch the park glow with beautiful handmade lanterns. Expect lantern making, fire jugglers, music, games and fun activities.

Dress warmly. Please do not bring your fireworks to this event.
