Heart and Sold at Salford Museum and Art Gallery


After a touring exhibition of Manchester, London and New York, Heart and Sold comes to Salford.

Heart and Sold is a unique visual arts exhibition that will touch your heart and mind, experience the latest collection from established and developing artists that happen to have Down syndrome.

Heart and Sold was launched in 2012, with the help and support of the UK’s Down’s syndrome Association and the first exhibition was a resounding success and their presence began to grow attracting famous supporters, American artist John P. Kelting’s work is now in Arnold Schwarzenegger’s collection.

Included in this exhibition and making worldwide headlines is a wonderful limited edition print of ‘Rupert Flying Over The Clifton Suspension Bridge’, the original painting by Tazia Fawley, was accepted by the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge as a gift for Prince George’s Nursery.

With an eclectic mix of artwork from painting to photography to line drawing, witness how this condition can showcase instinct, unique perspectives and original insights.

The opening day with an opportunity to ‘meet the artists’ will be on Saturday 5 March and will run until 5June 2016
