Image released after sexual assault on train at Manchester Piccadilly

British Transport Police are looking to trace a man they believe can help their investigation after a man was inappropriately touched on board a Virgin trains service from London Euston to Manchester Piccadilly.

The incident occurred at 5.20pm on Thursday, 24 March.

Investigating officer PC Keiron Richardson said: “The victim was walking through the carriage as the train approached Manchester Piccadilly when he was touched inappropriately. He turned around and the man who had touched him then attempted to speak to him. As the victim moved away he was touched again, before the man repeatedly attempted to kiss him.”

Officers have managed to isolate a CCTV image of a man they believe will have information about the incident – who is he?
