Motorists using the stretch of road between Weaste Lane and Gilda Brook roundabout are facing possible traffic delays with news of a proposed temporary suspension of bus lanes only in both directions.
The bus lanes running east and west bound along the A576 Eccles Old Road corridor between Weaste Lane and the A576 Gilda Brook roundabout are to be temporarily suspended from Monday 27 June for a period of nine weeks.
The temporary suspension will allow all vehicles access to both lanes during this period and has been introduced to reduce congestion due to a number of major projects taking place within the highway network both locally and on the motorway network.
