Charity fundraiser at Dog and Partridge Eccles

Simon Williams from The Sounds of Salford radio show has come up with yet another charity fundraiser to be held on September 10 at the Dog and Partridge pub on Church Street, Eccles to help raise funds for four charities.

“This promise to be a great night out with some top drawer attractions on the bill all eager to help out for charity.

“Its billed as ‘Help our Own’ because thats we do in Salford.

“The four charities nominated in my opinion don’t get enough help and its sad that they are reliant on charities.

“If a person fights for his country, surely he should be top priority when it comes to being rehoused, I have seen some ex-squaddies living in cardboard boxes, that’s shameful.

“We all know a family that has needed the help of St Ann’s Hospice, they do terrific work for the people of Salford and I am more than pleased to help out in any way I can”

The event features live music from Salford musicians, Chris Flynn, and Cinnamon Dinner, poetry from Salford’s own, Jimmmy Twamley and a DJ set from Ian Archer.

A marquee will erected at the side of the pub to give extra room for what surely will be a full house.

Tickets are a measly £5 and are available from the pub or pay on the night, and remember it’s all for a good cause!
