Woman’s body found in Clifton Country Park in search for missing Joanne Nolan


Police report that the body of a woman has been discovered in water at Clifton Country Park.

Police divers have been at the country park in Salford throughout the afternoon on Friday 2 September.

The body has not been formally identified but the investigation is understood to relate to missing Clifton woman Joanne Nolan.

Ms Nolan, 44, was reported missing to police on Saturday 20 August.

She was last seen in the Clifton area at 7pm on Friday 19 August.

Her car, a black Fiat Stilo, was discovered at Clifton Country Park.

In a statement Greater Manchester Police said: “The body of a woman has been found in the marina at Clifton Park in Salford.

“There are no suspicious circumstances surrounding her death and a file is being prepared for the coroner.”
