Wardley firm AT Engine Controls get business backing to break new markets


Designers and manufacturers AT Engine Controls is looking to break into new markets with support from the Business Growth Hub.

Based on the Wardley Industrial Estate in Swinton, the firm provides high-spec control equipment for the aerospace, oil and nuclear sectors.

It employs 43 staff and has an annual turnover of £6.5m.

The business was recently selected to accompany Prime Minister David Cameron on his trade delegation visit to South East Asia.

With backing of the Business Growth Hub, AT Engine Controls is now aiming to expand its oil, gas and nuclear offering and break ingot new markets including the rail sector.

The business support group’s Executive Development Programme helped AT Engine Controls to restructure its sales team.

“Training our sales team is helping our business and the Executive Development Programme means we can now focus on growing our firm.”
