Salford-based social housing construction firm ForWorks has secured a massive £31.2 million maintenance services contract for Villages Housing Association.
The 13-year contract will see ForWorks – the former name of City West Works – carry out repairs to 2,800 properties owned by the Merseyside housing association.
The news comes after ForWorks was appointed to not-for-profit procurement body LHC’s kitchen and bathroom framework.
ForWorks will now be able to bid for contracts worth up to £250,000 to design, install and refurbish kitchen and bathrooms for social landlords and local authorities across the North West and North Wales.
In the last 12 months LHC have released £210 million of work through its UK procurement system.
Steve Parrington, Director of ForWorks, said: “The past 12 months has been a period of exceptional growth for ForWorks.
“Our latest appointments once again highlight that we have the skills and expertise to provide a first-class service to housing associations, and other organisations operating in the public sector.
“Our contract with Villages Housing Association provides us with a welcomed opportunity to deliver and share excellence across the ForViva housing group, and is a great example of how working in partnership can produce the best results for customers.”
Launched in June 2015, ForWorks is a member of housing group ForViva – which owns and manages 18,000 homes across the North West.
