SalfordOnline.com are running a competition to find the best photograph of Salford in the glory of its autumn colours.
Despite the intermittent rainstorms readers have been out busily snapping their favourite shots before the deadline of Thursday 15 October 2015.
We’ve had leaves falling in Winton, stunning shots of Buile Hill Park, the Bridgewater Canal reflected in changing colours, and so much more.
Entrants include everyone from stay-at-home mums to noted community volunteers, but everyone is welcome to send in their pictures.
To get you inspired, here’s a few of our top picks so far.
They can be landscape or portrait, featuring people, places, buildings or simply sunsets and nature, and taken with any kind of camera equipment.
In the interests of throwing it open to as wide a field as possible, you can use a digital camera, DSLR or even a drone if you like, but most entries are shot on mobile phones.
Entries must have been taken by you between Saturday 1 August and Thursday 15 October 2015, anywhere within the City of Salford.
Post your entries to our 13,000 member Facebook group, tag @salfordonline_insta on Instagram, tweet us @salfordonline or email your pic with the subject line ‘SalfordOnline.com Autumn Colours 2015’ to newsdesk@salfordonline.com.
Please include a location with your pictures, if possible. If there are people in your pictures, please get their permission and name them.
When all the entries are in, a shortlist of 10 of the best will collected in a special gallery on SalfordOnline.com.
Voting will be open to the public in the comments section of that story.
The shortlisted pictures will be published on Monday 19 October 2015 and voting will close on Friday 23 October 2015.
The winner will be announced on Monday 26 October 2015.
