Conference and training provider Salford Professional Development has announced seven new staff in response to growing demand.
SPD reported a record £2.6 million turnover in July after increased interest in their conference division.
Based at Adelphi House on the Crescent, the firm was launched by ther University of Salford in 2012.
The subsidiary hosts conferences and training courses for public, private and not-for-profit firms on health and social care, media, business and law, leadership, the built environment, energy and public services.
It now employs 37 staff, up from 13 in 2014.
Richard Fletcher, 32, has joined SPD as a conference programme manager while the firm’s sponsorship team has been bolstered by the arrival of Matthew Innes, 32, and Jonathan Palmer, 34, as account managers.
SPD has recruited Stuart Crossley, 30, as a credit control manager while David Daniel, 25, has joined as a business development executive.
The other new appointments are Sabrina Testoni, 30, and Seb Halstead, 23, who have joined SPD as a digital sales executive and digital marketing executive respectively.
Meanwhile, SPD has promoted Elka Lamb to head of marketing and communications.
In June SPD organised 11 conferences on topics ranging from the future of higher education and safer communities to cyber security.
The events generated income of £350,000 and saw pre-tax profits in the year end to July 31 2014 rise 162 percent to £477,000.
Deputy chief executive Paul Bolton said: “We’ve seen massive growth in the business and, as we see more delegates coming through our doors, these new roles reflect our drive and determination to maintain and improve on the customer service experience.
“Feedback from our delegates and event sponsors has been overwhelmingly positive in relation to our conferences and courses, and now we are ready to increase the number of events we offer, which means growing our staff base accordingly.”
