Following a couple of defensive errors Beechy trailed 2-0 at half time though United battled back and reduced the arrears with a goal from Sam Bolton but after another piece of poor defending Beechy gifted the Crusaders a 3-1 lead. United continued to dictate the pace of the game and were rewarded when Man of the Match Jack Williams was on target with the second goal. On the balance of play Beechy definitely deserved at least a draw.

The visitors were the better team for long periods of the match but a fifth successive victory ensured Beechy remained on top of the Division 1 table. There was a slow start to the match and as United struggled to retain possession taking control Parkwyddn won a penalty but the spot-kick was missed. Keeping the pressure on Storm the visitors grew in confidence and United’s keeper and Man of the Match James O’Donnell was in action making some top-class saves.

The second half began as the first had ended with Parkwyddn displaying more composure on the ball as United struggled to find their rhythm. Beechy were quick off the mark and dominating the opening fifteen minutes were two goals up courtesy of Jake O’Sullivan. Then Louie Percival took advantage of a mistake by the Deans keeper and scored a great goal to put United firmly in control. It was difficult to define who accurately got the final touch on the ball regarding Thunder’s next goal (only Jacob Lacey and Harvey Walker know the answer) A well worked move and great finish resulted in a goal for Deans Tigers which was rightly applauded and despite conceding a few more goals Beechy responded superbly with a goal from Samuel Oludoyi. In defence Taonga Mututa gave a man of the Match performance alongside Samuel Oludoyi.
Expecting a tough away game with Winton Wanderers the Under 10’s Tornadoes had just seven players available but no substitutes. Theo Valentine was back in defence to partner Harley Kirk and they were more than a match for the Winton attack. The first half was fairly even with Beechy playing the better football and creating more chances. Kaiden McLean had scored for United but Winton were level at the break and the home side added a second goal one minute after the restart.
The setback didn’t worry the Tornadoes who quickly took control and forced some great saves from the Winton keeper.
