A Salford University student has died after falling from a student accommodation block in Salford.
The 20-year-old woman was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police were called to Eddie Colman Court, near Pendleton Police station on Belvedere Road at around 6am this morning, Wednesday 28 October.
Officers erected a forensic tent outside the block of flats and remain at the scene this afternoon.
There are not thought to be any suspicious circumstances and a file is being prepared for the Coroner.
In a statement a Salford University spokesman said: “We are saddened to report the tragic death of one of our students.
“We are working with police to do all we can to support the student’s friends and family at this sad time.”
